A little about me - I've worked in childcare since the age of 16, starting as an apprentice and working my way up to Area / Nursery Manager. With over 30 years of experience, I've gained a deep understanding of childcare and child development. Along the way, I've completed extensive training, including Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), Early Help, and Prevent Duty. I'm a firm believer in continuous learning and reflection, which helps me grow both personally and professionally.

I've been with Willows Private Day Nursery for over 4 years, and I genuinely love every aspect of my role. From ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the nursery to supporting and mentoring staff as they progress in their own careers, I take great pride in the work we do together as a team.

Outside of work, family is everything to me. On my days off, you'll usually find me helping my parents with shopping etc.

Hi I'm Zoe deputy manager at Willows. I have a level 3 qualification in Early years care and education; I have worked for the company since 2012 when I first started working for the company, I worked at our sister nursery Ark then after covid I moved to work at Willows with the out of school and holiday club. I then worked my way up to be deputy manager. I have a level 2 qualification as a senco. I am also the deputy senco at Willows supporting the senco lead to support the children and their parents.

I enjoy watching the children grow, learn and develop. I work in all rooms within the setting as well as doing school runs. I was aspired to work in early years from a young age as my mum was a child minder and I grew up around younger children. I enjoy spending time with my family.

A fun fact about me is I used to be a Luvabull for the Bradford Bulls dancing on the pitch at Odsal stadium.

Hi my name is Aimee, I hold a Level 3 qualification in Childcare and have worked at Willows since it first opened.

I have recently become Deputy Manager, and I am enjoying settling into my new role. I also work closely within the baby room (Fluffy Bunnies), I am passionate about supporting children's development and love watching them grow in confidence as they reach new milestones.

It is incredibly rewarding to be part of their early learning journey.

Hi I'm Sarah. I work in the cuddy bears rooms at Willows. I'm a friendly and reliable person who enjoys balancing work with family life. As a mum, I've become really organised, adaptable, and good at juggling different things at once. Outside of work, I love spending time with my family and going on holidays whenever we can. I like to bring a positive attitude to everything I do and enjoy being part of a team.

I hold a Level 3 qualification in Childcare, which has given me a strong understanding of child development, safeguarding, and creating a safe, supportive environment for children. I am also first aid trained, allowing me to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Through my training, I've developed practical skills in supporting children's learning, development, and wellbeing.

I'm keen to continue developing my career in childcare while balancing family life and being a mum.

A fun fact about me is that I still have some of my baby teeth!

I have been working in childcare for 6 years and I have taken a special interest in working alongside children and families with special educational needs and disabilities.

I chose to work in the childcare sector due to my large family and always being around young children. I enjoy supporting children to meet their milestones and working alongside families to support them to be the best they can be.

I am currently level 3 qualified in childcare, but I am working towards level 5 childcare. I am always looking at extending my knowledge to better my role and support my team and families at nursery.

I am first aid trained, all my safeguarding training is up to date and have previously been a Designated safeguarding lead.

I am committed to lifelong learning within this sector. Inspiration for Early Years
I have always been drawn to the Early Years sector because of the unique opportunity to shape a child's foundation for life. I am inspired by the rapid development that occurs in the first five years and find it incredibly rewarding to facilitate the "lightbulb moments" where a child master's a new skill or discovers a new interest. To me, there is no more vital work than ensuring a child's first experience with education is joyful, safe, and nurturing.

My interest in childcare began back in high school when I took part in a work placement at a local primary school working in reception which then inspired me to start working with young children.

Outside of my career I enjoy exploring new places with my son and creating memories. I also love to travel and indulge in chocolate (who doesn't).

What inspired me to work in childcare?

It inspired me when I was in college and we were learning about the different development within children from birth to 5. I lived in Cornwall for 25 years where my daughter was born , I have one grandson. I spend my spare time as a main carer for my mum who has dementia . Hello, my name is Nic and I have been a part of the Broomfield family for the last 8 years.

I am Level 3 qualified in Support Teaching and Learning but have swapped roles and am now the nursery cook. It's a great job.

When I am not whipping up a storm in the kitchen I am busy working and living in my family run pub in Hipperholme. I acquired a fantastic allotment last year and am busy growing all my own organic fruit and vegetables which is very rewarding and tastes amazing.

I am also an avid camper and am currently turning my van into a motor home as I am lucky enough to own a drag racing car and race up and down the country every few weeks.If there's ever anything you want to know about the food I make at nursery or you have any ideas for new meals please feel free to let me know.

Hi, my name is Paula and I have been working at Broomfield since October 2025. I have worked in education over 17 years and no day is the same. I currently work in Spinning tops, I'm very friendly, bubbly and always singing and you'll rarely see me without a smile.

I hold a level 3 pre school practice, level 1 in Play work, level 2 in food and hygiene and first aid trained. I firmly believe that to every successful start to a child's journey in education is to first relise that every child is unique and every child will develop in there own time.

Something many people don't know was that when I was younger I was a special constable and whilst on crowd control I was walking backwards and I walked into Prince Charles ( now the King oops).

On my time away from work I love to read, do criss cross and follow my beloved FC Halifax Town.

Hi, I am Rebecca I have an NVQ LEVEL 3 in Childcare. I recently got back in childcare last year, after a 7 year break were i worked part time in retail and took care of my 2 children. The best part of my job is the enjoyment you get when you see a child you've looked after move their way through nursery setting and go off to school.

Hi I'm Shaz, I've been working at Broomfield nursery for a year and a half now . I absolutely love the fact that every day is a different day with the children and watching them development in which they just thrive within our enriched learning environment we provide everyday as a team. Working together to create a brilliant and bright future for all our children that attend the nursery.

I'm a qualified level 2 and 3 (NCFE diploma for the young persons and young people's workforce, early learning and childcare) since 2013. I started working in early years as a volunteer and It became a passion as it helped me learn as a parent too so here I am. As a young mother I've always been a passionate about the early years and how we as parents and early educators can help our child develop as their development is so fast pacing every day matters and the changes within the weeks is amazing.

A little bit about me, I'm a mother of 4 beautiful girls that range from the ages of 29 to 18 in which I'm so extremely proud of. Edexcel Level 3 BTEC Certificate in Children's Care, learning and development.

A few things of my favourite things in life are keeping active, exploring new places and making memories with people I care about. Going to the gym is something I enjoy and helps me feel better. I also love day trips and little adventures, whether its discovering somewhere new or visiting my favourite place.

Childcare has always been a passion of mine. I love supporting children as they learn. Their laughter and unique personalities bring me joy.

Honey

My name is Honey; I have been at Ark Day Nursery for a year and a half working towards my level 3 qualification in childcare. As part of my apprenticeship, I spent some time in Uganda volunteering with the children and I gained not only a once in a lifetime experience but also the opportunity to learn about the experiences of children and practitioners in other parts of the world.

My favourite part of my role is getting to know the children and little personalities.

In my spare time I like to go shopping and spend time with my friends and family.

Gemma

I hold an NVQ level 3 Early Years Care and Education.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends making memories, watching my two boys play football and rugby and I spend many weekends supporting and encouraging them from the side lines.

I am passionate about working in child because I find it rewarding to watch the children grow, develop new skills and gain confidence as they learn through play.

Jane

My name is Jane I have an NNEB Diploma in childcare, and I have been with Ark Day Nursery many years, a total of 16 years!

In my spare time I enjoy spending time at my caravan with my family which is in Skegness and taking my sausage dog for a walk with my little girl.

I work in childcare as I enjoy helping children grow and to see them develop new skills and meet their milestones.

I also love seeing their little faces each morning light up when I arrive at work each day.

Kaela

I am friendly and sociable person who loves spending time with friends having fun. I also enjoy cooking and baking and I love trying out new recipes for family and friends.

I really enjoy my role as a nursery cook, where I have the opportunity to create healthy nutritious and delicious meals for the children every day. It also brings me happiness knowing that I can help encourage healthy eating while preparing food that the children enjoy.

Courtney

I'm a caring, friendly and family-oriented person who enjoys going on walks, attending Pilates classes, and spending quality time with my family.

I love working in childcare because I enjoy helping children learn, grow and gain confidence. Building strong relationships with children and their families and creating a safe, happy and nurturing environment. Seeing children reach new milestones and knowing I've made a positive difference in their lives.
